"The Layover" -Posner

Mike Posner, who i have been a fan of since before he has a thousand followers on twitter(his early stages), has just released his mixtape The Layover. This mixtape is full of 20 tracks and really goes back to his old styler from his original mixtapes which is why i became such a fan! Along with becoming even more of a fan when he sent me a direct message on twitter after i tweeted about the remix he made of 'Rolling in the Deep' originally by Adele. He called me by my nickname which was something overwhelming to me just becaue a celeb talked to me like he was one of my boys. This mixtape features artists such as Bun B, BIG K.R.I.T, Slim Thugga and many more. These collaborations are FIRE. For those who dont know about Posner he is known for his auto tuned sound and just smooth voice, mostly an R&B feel, some real love making music. Download this mixtape and enjoy!

MAC Was Most Dope!

Last night i went to Mac Millers concert at Stubbs located here in Austin. He has been touring for his recently released album 'Blue Slide Park'. I had heard nothing but good things about seeiing him live and he lived up to the hype and more, he doesn't even need a hype man. I have not been to many concerts but i have never seen someone get the crowd to get so pumped up like he does. At one point he started playing the guitar, behind his head, backwards. This kid is full of talent! I will definetely be planning on seeing him again live.

Plies - I Fuck With The DJ

Sort of off and on in the Rap game, Plies has really stepped it up lately trying to not be forgotten by bringing us a few mixtapes this past year with more than just a couple songs on it. Its clear Plies is working hard to maintain his relevancy in the rap game, where a lot of artists are hot and number 1 one day and then forgotten about the next. Speaking from a personal point of view, and from friends of mine i can say that fans will move on to the next hot rapper if one is slackin for a long period of time. You can only listen to a song so many times, no matter how good it is. Plies "I fuck witht he DJ" mixtape comes with 11 tracks, including the banger "Preachers Daughter" Featuring the well known Gucci Mane. Plies's style tends to keep it simple with girls and jewelry, nothing to complex coming from this mixtape. Plies association with other big time rappers such as Lil Wayne, Jeezy, and DJ Khaled has really helped get his name out to be people who would have otherwise never discovered him.

Mac "You bitches couldnt touch me with a FB poke" Miller

Mac Miller just recently gained his 1,000,000 follower on twitter and basically put out this mixtape as a Thank You, hints the name "i love life, thank you thank you thank you". He truly shows his appreciation in as many ways as possible, through twitter, at his shows, every way possible. I have not personally been to one of his shows but i have friends who have, and i cant wait for his show here in Austin next month! His album is coming soon and i think this was just to keep his fan satisfied until that point where his album hits the stores. This mixtape has 13 tracks featuring artists such as Bun B and Talib Kweli. This mixtape to me seems like he put it together rather quickly with a bunch of freestyles, which honestly im not complainin because with his lyrical ways he doesnt need much time to spit what he does. This kid has some serious talent...cant WAIT for his album.

Dean #Schooldayz

A fellow class mate back in highschool, along with playing football for various schools such as UCLA and now currently enrolled at TCU as a running back, just recently released his first mixtape via Datpiff.com. Trying to spread the word with a little publicity and get him where he wants to be, this mixtape is just about his life and experiences to the point where he is today. Kid Ink

Kid Ink just released his mixtape "Wheels Up" on October 10th via DatPiff. The mixtape has zero DJing, it is all self production, pretty talented kid. Kid Ink is a part of the Alumni Music Label. This mixtape has 16 tracks featuring Tyga, Travis Porter, Nipsey Hustel, 2 Chainz, J. Valentine and Sterling Simms. I actually a few songs on my playlist by Sterling Simms, incredible voice.
